Soffits, Fascia & guttering

Soffits, Fascia & guttering in Salisbury

To keep your home looking and performing at its best Stonehenge Glazing offer a full replacement of your soffit, fascia and guttering.
If the timber beneath is of sound quality and fixing then an over clad can be used subject to a company representative inspecting it.

Soffit, fascia and guttering play an important role, and can increase the curb appeal and value of your home.

The fascia is fixed directly to the lower ends of the roof trusses and usually does all the work of supporting the lower edge of the bottom row of tiles. The fascia also carries all the guttering. This is no mean feat when it is raining hard. An average 3 bed semi-detached home could be washing several gallons or water per second into its gutters.

Soffit boards are tucked away under the fascia board. This is usually the board that is most visible when looking at your home from street level. The soffit can be ventilated to allow air flow into the roof area which prevents condensation forming in the roof void helping to stop timber rotting.

When it comes to choosing your soffit, fascia and guttering there are white and woodgrain finishes to the boards and a varied range of guttering to choose from. We will work with you to choose a style that compliments your home.

Over clad

Over clad

The over cladding of Fascia and soffits consists of:

• Removal of guttering and downpipes
• Installation of 9mm capping board or hollow tongue and groove soffit board over existing soffits
• Installation of 9mm fascia capping board over the existing fascia board
• Install new Guttering and Downpipes
• Remove and dispose of all waste from works.

Note: when undertaking an over clad job, we make the customer aware that there may be areas of the fascia that are rotten. We will attempt to highlight these areas at the time of quoting the work, but if additional rot is found we will always remove the rotten section back to a sound area and replace the area with new timber before over cladding. We will always advise the customer of any additional cost.
